Cajunangler Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Thanks for looking but it looks like I'll be keeping this unit and using it for several years to come.
Cajunangler Posted February 6, 2010 Author Posted February 6, 2010 Thanks for the candid response Whodat. I'll be sure and pass along your comment to the Motor Gude folks which is probably where your comment would be best appreciated.
Cajunangler Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 WOW! I guess a three year old motor guide that has never been used isn't worth much. I guess WOHDAT, WOODAT, WIIDAT or WHATEVERDAT must be right, so if you've got any motorguide stock you better dump it quick. I guess I should be pleased he didn't think my Bass Cat Pantera II sucked! But seriously, I have this listed on craigslist as well and lowered my asking price to my final figure of $650. Obviously, Motorguide is still making this unit and somehow enough folks are buying them to continue. If you want to save at least $350 (not including the sales tax) on a 36 volt trolling motor give me a call or send me a PM. It may not be the best time to sell a trolling motor but it won't be on the chopping blocks much longer.
getfished Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Cajunangler I need a trolling motor. It needs to be a Motorguide. I'm not quite ready to buy yet but the issue for me is I need a 24 volt. I don't really have anywhere to stash a third battery. I guess I could use my cranking battery as the third one. I'm not sure how that would work but I've heard some guys have done that. That sounds like a pretty reasonable deal and I'm sure you will move it soon. Good Luck. http://www.tacklespecialty.com/
Ham Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I would have thought that it was pretty obvious that if you have a beef with a particular product you are more than welcome to start your own thread to discuss that. It's more than a little rude to vent your spleen on some piece of gear on the someone else's Buy Sell or Trade thread. Some folks like Motor guide and some folks like Minn Kota. I like em both. They both make quality products. The one for sale here is pretty close to the Top of the line that Motor Guide makes. Cajunangler prefers Minn Kota and would like to move the Motor Guide while it is like new, as in all but NEVER used. No wear on it at all. Good deal available to someone looking to move up to a 36 volt system or even buy it as a back up motor for someone that tourny fishes and has that setup already.
