fishgypsy Posted February 9, 2010 Posted February 9, 2010 The vocals left a lot to be desired, and it seemed like the guitars were cutting in and out, and/or they were missing notes. With a hundred million people watching, I figure that's a big deal. I did think the light show was pretty cool, up until the very end, where I worried I'd go into an epipleptic fit. If I had foresight I would've pressed mute and put on Who's Next on vinyl. Still better than Janet Jackson's boob, though "I hope that someday we will be able to put away our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people." - Jack Handy www.fishgypsy.wordpress.com
Quillback Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Back in the day the Who were great. But I hope they retire after this. I can't figure out why they keep bringing in geriatric bands, is the majority of the audience 50+? I guess they figure the last thing the old guys will do is take their clothes off.
KCRIVERRAT Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Roger Daltry ain't retiring. He's the opening act for Eric Clapton at the Sprint Center here in KC. Don't know the date, but it's soon. No Pete Townsend though. Pretty amazing how the music from the 60's and 70's lives on. I appreciate all kinds of music, but like "The Who" says... I'm partial to "My Generation".
