Members Vola Bass Posted February 21, 2010 Members Posted February 21, 2010 HEY MEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNN !!!!!!!!! Nice to meet you all ! I'm very happy to join this network, after little problems with the registration, I can finally post! So, I introduce myself: my name is Alberto Manfredi, I come from Italy, exactly from Parma, the city of Parmigiano cheese and Prosciuttto and tortelli and a lot of good cooking !! I'm here because I want to improve my english fishing vocabulary (so correct me if I write something wrong.. !) and to talk about American Fishing... I went to USA (New York,Miami,Orlando) in 2005 when I was 18 years old and I went to the Bass Pro Shop of Orlando, it was AMAZING....!!!!!! I stayed there for 5 hours or more, I think... and I bought a lot of wonderfull lures that here is not commercialized...! Next March 2010, after 5 years, I will come to USA, expecially to Missouri, to meet my brother who is studying Energetical Engineeering at Rolla Campus University.. So I'm planning my visit (entire day I hope...!) at The Historical Bass Pro Shop of Springfield......!!!! And my dream is to fish in the Lake Of The Ozarks, The Paradise for Black Bass Fishing....!!! I certainly write again in this forum to ask you information about The Ozarks and the BPS, for now I'm glad to meet you all ! Ciao e a presto..! Alberto Manfredi
patfish Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 Welcome Alberto. I'm sure your visit to the great state of Missouri will not disappoint. There is a lot of good fishing not too far from Rolla. Also, since you're going to Springfield, if you have time I would suggest a visit to Table Rock Lake. As far as your typed English, not too bad. Way better than my typed or spoken Italian.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 21, 2010 Root Admin Posted February 21, 2010 Glad we got you on the forum. Look forward to educating you on our fishing and our language. Just don't pick up some of our Ozarkian slang
Members Kc River Ratt Posted February 21, 2010 Members Posted February 21, 2010 Welcome too the Forums!!! When there you can also swing bye Lilley's and perhaps catch a trout during your stop. There is some good fishing around Rolla so make sure you wet a line while visiting your brother.

It's a pleasure write to you... !
Members Mart Posted February 22, 2010 Members Posted February 22, 2010 Ciao Alberto, From an Italian American who speaks with a Missouri accent, welcome to the Ozarks!
redbud Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 I think that you will enjoy your stay here. If you are in Springfield go to Table Rock, hire one of the excellent guides and be prepared to catch some bass, maybe some big bass .Big fish are caught this time of year with 5 to 7 lbs not uncommon. You should go over to the Table Rock forum and check the posts ,there you will meet the guides .You might want to book now to make sure you have a spot. Welcome to America and good luck.
Members Vola Bass Posted February 22, 2010 Author Members Posted February 22, 2010 how far is table rock from Springfield??
