What brand of rods do you like to use?

I prefer All Star, have and use the ASR as well as the Team AS series. Have been using a few St Croix Avids, just got my hands on a Mojo Bass, great stick for the price!

For Crappie I use - All Star, Outlaw and Ozark rods.

Thanks,

Brad

I have zero brand loyalty when it comes to rods. I basically buy whatever I find that feels good and is a good price, and watch for sales. Of the rods I use all the time, I've got two Loomis, a Kistler, two Falcons, a St. Croix, a Castaway, a Browning, and two that I made myself, one from a Loomis blank, the other from a Cabelas blank. In fly rods, I have two Sages, a St. Croix, two Loomis, and a Winston.

I'm with you big Al. I have Mojo Flippin stick and a Mojo spinning rod. A Carrot Stix spinning rod. A regular St.Croix spinning rod. I have a Powell jig rod. A Wright and Mcgill Skeet Reese Crankin rod. All Star Platinum casting rod for spinnerbaits and a Shimano Covergence rod that is good for jigging. I have had great luck with all of them. There are so many good rods out there and the prices just keep getting better.

I own a few different rod brands. I have a several shimano crucials, a few falcons and a few Gloomis rods. I use to think Gloomis was the only rod to have but I really like the crucials, probably my favorites. I've sold a few loomis rods because I just didn't feel that they lived up to all the hype. JMO!

I'm also becoming less loyal as I find more and more companies making good rods for better prices. But if money was no object, I would always buy Loomis...and I usually do anyway even though I really can't afford them. I like many of the rods that All-Star, St. Croix and Shimano make.

I think it is another personal preference thing. Still fun to talk about. I have a few different brands, but trying to stay with Falcon now. The reason I like one brand is, I know what I am getting. I almost picked up a St. Croix (can't remember which one now), but opted to go with the known on another Falcon lowrider.

It is sometimes easier to have different rods so you know which line is on which reel with a glance. Still leaning toward one company and have been happy with the durability. lightness and sensitivity of the Falcons at their price point.

I build almost all of my rods so blank availability is an issue. Have several Loomis, couple Rogues, several St. Croix, factory rods show Shimano, Fenwick as well as some store brands. The biggest thing for me is to get an action I like. Brand isn't a big decider if I like the action. Lately most of the rods I build have been on St. Croix Avid blanks. They just seem to be great value for the money.
