Sore Thumbs Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 What are people's opinion of fishing this arm? Is it going to be warmer or colder than Gravois to the dam? Geographicaly it looks like it is 20 to 30 miles south of bagnell. Does anyone know how the water clarity is in that arm? Thanks for your help.
fishinwrench Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 The Glaize has a little something going for it, in that good numbers of "keeper sized" bass from the rest of the lake are constantly hauled into it and released on almost a daily basis throughout 8-9 months of the year.
Jbrant Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 It's generally going to be colder than the Gravois/dam area. Water clarity can vary greatly I think. With some rain, it's going to get really muddy. Never clears up as much as the dam area I don't think. Very popular spot though - lots of people fish in there.
Members Vola Bass Posted March 7, 2010 Members Posted March 7, 2010 Is the fishing free in Grand Glaize arm?? isn't it a National Park?? Thank you
Members BobK Posted March 7, 2010 Members Posted March 7, 2010 It is free.....I enjoy fishing this part of the lake in early spring before the big boats get out. It does tend to get muddy when it rains in the upper end due to the river. You ain't a live'n if your not a fish'n
