Members championboatksu Posted March 6, 2010 Members Posted March 6, 2010 Was just wondering if any one could fill me in with some information on the lower level of bull shoals? Have heard some good reports down around tucker hollow and bear creek. I am coming down there this weekend to fish the collegiate bass tournament and since we are not allowed practice time, some information would be very sufficient.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 6, 2010 Root Admin Posted March 6, 2010 Aren't you putting in at KDock? There's a report by Babler posted just the other day. That should give you some really good info- not much has changed since then. Also, I'd read up on what's been working on Table Rock. If you mimic what you see on Table Rock, you'll do well. They are very similar. Unfortunately, we don't have any guides posting on Bull Shoals. But you might pick up someone who's fished it the last few days besides Babler.

Yes we are putting in at K dock and wanting to go south. Just was wondering what has been happening down that way on the lake
roy_eros Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Fished from bee creek down past tucker all morning...nothing firing only caught one short and one walleye..made a move up the lake fishing cuts off main lake bluffs wound up catching 4 keepers between me and my partner in about 2 hours..fish came shallower than we had been looking, one on a white 3/8 ounce spinnerbait, other 3 came on soft plastics. If i were putting in at K dock this weekend i wouldnt go far to look for fish..
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 6, 2010 Root Admin Posted March 6, 2010 Hope you do well. Please report back and tell us how you all did.
Forsythian Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Nice post Roy, way to get after 'em... I like that water from Tucker to Mincy during the summer, but I'd be kind of lost in that area this time of year. I'm gonna poke around Elbow Creek tomorrow, will post a report tomorrow night. Mike Worley Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 We fished today in Big Creek. Caught 1 short LM on clown stickbait. Caught 30 fish LM- white bass and 1 walleye on spoons - grubs -crankbaits. Beauiful day to be on the water. Water temp was 48 the depth was 28fow.
Forsythian Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I got my behind handed to me in Elbow yesterday... fished noon to about 4, tried grubs and stick baits. My graph wouldn't work, so I was fishing a bit blind. Tried some flats for whites too... no takers. Odd thing... there were dead and dying shad all over the place. Gulls were having a field day, and I imagine the bass were as well. We've got some warm rains between here and next weekend, it ought to get good here pretty soon. Cenosillicaphobiac
Ham Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Last year at about this time, clear water with lots of dying shad equaled NO BITES. I had to move to off colored water to get bit. I think the fish in the clear water were full. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
