Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 29, 2010 Root Admin Posted March 29, 2010 I have maps of Beaver posted. http://ozarkanglers.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=353&Itemid=94
Members Jeff Burkhart Posted March 29, 2010 Author Members Posted March 29, 2010 good post Dutch... to add on up from big rock you have a shoal then the Kissee Mills Bridge hole going up stream you have the old dam. then a good straight shallow run a short deep hole then you enter the Tea Tables hole probably 200yds long and ranging from 3-10' deep above that is shoals. Phil give me a call and I can tell you what the water looks like down my way... If I was going to flip my fly rod id flip 1/100 grey jig at the big rock hole. One of my buddies limited out flipping there Saturday every flip
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 29, 2010 Root Admin Posted March 29, 2010 I'm putting in at the bridge above it all, below the Tea Tables. I'll be heading to moving water- may be there, may be up closer to the TT. We'll see.
Members Jeff Burkhart Posted March 29, 2010 Author Members Posted March 29, 2010 watch the dam we were in jets and still had to knock sum trees down to get over it last nite
Dutch Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Phil I looked at your map. My Maiden Hole and yours are 2 miles apart. Your long riffles is what we call the shoot.
Members Jeff Burkhart Posted March 29, 2010 Author Members Posted March 29, 2010 "Fish are clear above Hootn Town now back in white bass mode... went this evening at TeaTables and caught 13 studs and a 24" walleye." -------------------------- Yeah, that's got me confused. I know your spoonbills are coming out of James, but the Tea Tables are on Beaver Creek. At which place are you saying you caught those white bass? I caught the whites in Beaver.. I'm all over sorry for that
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 29, 2010 Root Admin Posted March 29, 2010 Where is your MH? I was going by what people told me years ago... If there's running water below the dam, I won't go up there. I know how shallow it is- lots of rocks. The gravel bar just above the bridge is a good one but small, not room for many fishermen. I may go down and throw jigs... we'll see.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 29, 2010 Root Admin Posted March 29, 2010 Is the water super clear?
Dutch Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 My MH is below Slough Hollow where the bluffy bank is on the right and flats are on the left. The creek takes a quick jog at the top of the hole. That is what everyone I know calles it but one never knows when one gets into coloquialisms and regional assumptions. One of the big talks over the year is some calling the Gillis hole tha Johnson hole. Then there is fish trap shoals (of which there are two) and one of them being called Hayward Shoals.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 29, 2010 Root Admin Posted March 29, 2010 Hummm... never heard of them. But that doesn't mean anything. May be we should ask an old timer who lives over there. Any one know a person like that? Dutch- can you mark a map and send it to me? When you say right, is that heading upstream or down?
