Gone Fishing Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Man what a pretty day. Got a chance to take my 4 year old out today. Put in at Baxter at around 3:00p.m.. After a short run before the boat was nearly off plane he was up chunking his spongebob squarepants pole. Caught 2 nice keepers on a grub in around 25ft of water but my partner got to winch the fish in. Caught 3 more out of a cedar on the stick bait with one also being a fat KY. He started getting alittle tired so we headed in around 4:30p.m.. Even if we don't catch anything it is still fun fishing with my favorite fishing partner.
duckydoty Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Nice! That fish looks as big as your partner! A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Hogfan Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Good job man! Beautiful day for sure and with clear skys and little to no wind I'd say you did quite well.
Quillback Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 That's awesome! Good to see the little guy had a great day!
techo Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 Is the little guy for rent....could use a guide like him. Tim Carpenter
Gone Fishing Posted March 20, 2010 Author Posted March 20, 2010 I can only get an 1 1/2 to 2 hours on the water with him so far. It takes longer getting everything(snacks and juiceboxes) around longer than that. But I don't want to burn him out. So I will leave any time he is ready. After all, if he can catch them like that I need to keep him around.
FishinCricket Posted March 20, 2010 Posted March 20, 2010 Just take an iPod with a few games along.. Give him 10 minutes in the jumpseat with a videogame and a juicebox and he'll be ready for more action! (short attention spans, those lil uns) looks like it was a fantastic day, cool... cricket.c21.com
