Three Gate Report

Boated to the dam after they'd open 3 gates. Thought may be, just may be some shad had washed into the lake.

Pulled up to the south corner at the cable and casted a few times. Caught a rainbow and then this smallie. See the blue gill tail hanging out of his mouth? Couldn't get a good pic cause I was about to drift into the bank.

Two drifts to the ramp. First drift, on the north side, netted 3 rainbows, all before Big Hole. Last one was this really nice 19 inch rainbow male. I thought may be, just may be the white jig bite was on. Second drift - nothing. Missed a couple of bites.

Better than last evening but nothing like it would be if shad were coming through.

Word is they will run gates will Table Rock is back down to 915 and with rain comin' that may be a week or so.

I thought for sure there would be shad pouring over the dam but I did'nt see any..My group was more in a bait fishing mode so we headed down. I bet it will get pretty good if they keep em open a while. May head up and drag some little chrome/white crankbaits. I'm betting the creeks downtown will be hot as well.

Think I should have fished Taney in the morning and Bull in the evening instead of vice versa. Took out at cooper well after dark last night and the courtesy dock ramp was under... And the whites were back on in the creeks I hear at Bull Shoals. I need a clone.
