T-RockJaws Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Fished out of Eagle Rock for a couple of hours last night. Found some small fish moving into the peagravel areas, but not really any quality fish there yet. Went back to fishing some bluff into chunk rock transition areas which still seem to be holding fish. Had a couple of keepers in these areas, one on a spinner bait and one swimming the grub. Chartreuse and white on the spinner bait with the smoke salt and pepper colors still working on the grubs. Water temps ranged from about 50 to 53 degrees with a little stain to the water.
Champ188 Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I'd ditch those spinnerbaits. Those things never work very well.
Members Matt Henry Posted April 3, 2010 Members Posted April 3, 2010 Looking forward to fishing next weekend on TRL. Do you think the Kimberling area is going to pick up or should I play it safe and run up the White or the James? Matt Henry
techo Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 We had a nice warm rain yesterday followed up by more sun today. I think they are calling for rain Monday and maybe Tuesday followed by more sun. It seems like and feels like the whole lake is about to turn on. Itmight be teasing us though! Tim Carpenter
