I meant to get out even earlier. Fish are really eating well as you can see. Perfect drifting conditions too. Lots of fun.
crazy4fishin Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Great vid Phil - we were down this last weekend and started fishing about where you were and they loved the 1/8th white jig....we C&R'd at least 70 in the three days. I bet we missed setting the hook on at least that many. I did end up donating about 8 white jigs to the lake (snags) so at one point I put on a 1/8th cinamon color that I had from last year and they ate that as well...of course the key was getting it to the bottom and making it dance. It was a great time especially for the newbie that I brought - I think that he may be a new regualar. C4F Crazy4fishinA Cornhusker

I'm doing this backwards.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 13, 2010 Author Root Admin Posted April 13, 2010 "What you should never do...." Put your finger in a brown's mouth. I had to to get the jig out. He didn't get me this time but they can put the hurt on you!

flyfishmaster Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Phil, I noticed something on your videos, you back reel a lot when fighting a fish. Do you set your drag tight and back reel? Also what line weight are you using? 4#? Later, FFM Woo Hoo Fish On!!
Rolan Duffield Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Enjoyed these video's, Phil. Good job. Yes, he's very good with that Spinning rod. He sees and senses a lot more strikes than I do with the spinning rod. He watches the jig and also any changes to line movement. My old eyes just don't seem to work that well for suttle strikes. Gatorjet Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Great videos as always. Keep 'em bitin' Phil, I'll be there next Tuesday! Real men go propless!
Mr. Ed Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 He does all that back reeling so he can stay on camera with the fish longer
