techo Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 My supervisor wants to have a "training" day on the lake. Basically a fun day and rent a house boat or deck boat. There are about eleven of us and I will take the Skeeter anyway. Any suggestions on Houseboat or deck boat rentals? I think they just want to go to some cove and cook out, swim and visit for the day. He asked me to do some checking as at work I am known for loving Table Rock. Thanks for any advice or tips. Tim Carpenter
Champ188 Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 I'll leave the rental info to someone else but I'd strongly suggest Aunt's Creek as a place to swim, cook out and of course to fish. You knew it was coming, Tim.
snakem Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Rolling on the floor, falling out of my chair laughing. Snakem, ps that was a good 1 champ
techo Posted April 15, 2010 Author Posted April 15, 2010 I actually thought Aunts would be good with the swing over on the bluff and the great camp ground. We are heading out in June so the fish should be deep. I don't know much about that pleasure boating stuff as it seems a waste of a good fishing day to me. Thanks for the good natured joshing. You guys fishing AIA on Saturday? Tim Carpenter
rps Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 It may be farther than you want to go, but Holiday Island rents large pontoons and Eureka is always entertaining.
mosouthpaw Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 be sure to rent jet skis and tubes for your day at aunts creek..... and wear the usual blinders while engaging in jet skis and pleasure boating...

Ouch! I feel like a traitor! I will try to get them to at least wear bikinis for your viewing pleasure. The down side is they are all males! Tim Carpenter
Members Matt Henry Posted April 16, 2010 Members Posted April 16, 2010 Techo, I would check at the Port of Kimberling. They have Houseboat and Pontoon boat rentals at fairly resonabale prices. Matt Henry
Members Matt Henry Posted April 16, 2010 Members Posted April 16, 2010 By the way it was nice to meet you on the lake on Saturday. We went up into the coves and caught about nine short kentuckys before we moved over to Aunts Creek to catch some smallies. We ended up with 22 fish, one keeper from each species. The larges was 2 3/4 kentucky. 2 lbs Large and a 1 3/4 smallie. We had fun! Matt Henry
