OBBT Staff Posted April 19, 2010 Author Posted April 19, 2010 You should read the AIA rules before misleading AIA anglers. It is a rules violation to leave your boat during tournament hours. The exception to the rule is an emergency or boat break down. I was planning on fishing your event on Saturday, but have withdrawn due to your obvious attempt of self promotion at the cost of others. Not a very smart business practice. Adjustment made to original thread. We were simply wanting to let anglers know that there's flexibility on our end. Thanks for the feedback. We were specifically relating to our rules not their rules. Apologies. Mark

OBBT Staff Posted April 19, 2010 Author Posted April 19, 2010 Mark, No skin off my nose. Speaking of body parts....if you have KVD's ear, I might be able to fit the rest of him in my boat Saturday! Good stuff Tim. I'll put in a good word for you. I'm sure that line would be long. Maybe next year we can raffle off a day on the water with him? Again, sorry for the mix up. Those of you fishing AIA, who can't participate for whatever reason, at least come by BPS on Friday June 4th to see KVD and hang out with the Rolling O Lab Crew. We will have some free giveaway's and prize packs from our sponsors and partners.

How do I deal with those who ignore the 50 yard encroachment rule?......I show them just how accurate I am with a crank bait!
S&M Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 This is an interesting rule under "WEIGH-IN SPORTSMANSHIP AND CONSERVATION:" "( c ) Trailering a bass to weigh-in site during tournament hours will be permissible. Bass must be alive to be weighed in. However, any contestant whether trailering or not, shall be required to bring their boat and respective partner or partners, if any, with them to the official weigh-in site for a boat inspection when weighing bass in at any respective hour." Can you clarify this rule. How does an angler go about this process?. You weigh in your fish, then what ? I'm wondering how much down time an angler is to expect waiting for a boat inspection after weighing in their fish. How many staff members will be performing boat inspections?. I'm inquiring because I have seen 10,20, 30 up to 50 anglers weighing in during an hourly time slot. Thanks for your help, How do I deal with those who ignore the 50 yard encroachment rule?......I show them just how accurate I am with a crank bait!
