arsenal1477 Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 I know the largest Kentucky out of Table Rock is the 7lb 8oz. state record, but does anyone know what the lake records are of LM and SM? I hear every year of a few 8#ers and 9#ers being caught...
denjac Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 I know the state record spotted smalmouth (meanmouth) is 4.1 pounds was caught in Table Rock. Its listed in the MDC lake state records. Dont know anout the others. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. For a nation to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." ~ Winston Churchill ~
eric1978 Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 I know Ham caught a 10+ LM down there earlier this spring. There ain't no 9 pound smallies in there though...at least it isn't likely. Don't know what the actual records are.
Flysmallie Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 State Record Smallmouth came from Stockton. 7lbs 2 oz caught in 1994.
steveearle Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Mark Fann actually has a 5 lb. 10 oz. Meanmouth that is the current state record. The 4-1 is way out of date and has been broken at least a half dozen times in between these 2 fish..... The lake record largemouth (confirmed) would be interesting to know...if there were solid confirmation...I know it is not in the 9s or 10s...it's larger...
arsenal1477 Posted May 11, 2010 Author Posted May 11, 2010 thanks all. was just reading a post the other day and someone caught an 8.6, then they started talking about a few nines. i have never had anything break me off down there and the biggest i have caught was a little over 5. been fishing down there 25 years and cant manage to get a lunker of 7lb+...besides dynamite i have tried everything.
