Hotdawg Guide Service Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 The lower Lake is red hot right now with multiple species biting and keepers starting to show up more and more. The lake level is 654.65 as of tonight on Sunday with a prediction of 658 with no more rain. The fish are holding in 5 to 26 feet of water with multiple baits working and several different artificials as well.I caught the enclosed pics on the 21 with Hank and Shirley Delviney and they enjoyed the day so much they are going again on Tuesday!! The best bait is live nightcrawlers trolled at 18 to 26 feet feet deep. The best artificial is gitzits in baby poop color the best. Good luck and GOD Bless Hotdawg!! Hot Dawg Guide Service
BrianS Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Are you catching any Kentuckys? I cant find very many now HOOK 'EM HORNS
Ham Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 I show the lake level being 665. I fished some new water (new to me) on the lake today. I ended up with 6 species and 35 fish total. No walleye for me today. No smallies either which was a function of where I fished AND a bummer. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

Hotdawg, How are you rigging your night crawlers?...fishing on the bottom? What kind of structure/terrain are you fishing around? Is a gitzit basically a tube bait? How far up the lake will you guide? I will be around the 125 Marina in June and am around there a few times a year. Me and some buddies would like to book a trip some time. I would like to learn more about fishing the lake and have appreciated all the info that you give on Bull Shoals and the White. Thanks
