Was wondering if anyone uses them and if you like them?

I have both the regular and midge sizes. I started using them last year and absolutely love them. It takes a little getting used to at first, but once you have the motion down, they work perfectly. I really like the way the tool releases smaller more delicate flies without damaging them. Super handy for cold weather fishing as you never have to touch the fish or fumble for a pair of hemostats.

I have used them for a long time, since they came out in the 90's. They work really well with barbless hooks. I just have the regular sized one on a zinger. They don't mess up a fly like hemostats do.

And someone makes a hemostat with the release curve on them too.

I use the Ketchum tool and love it. The less you handle the fish the better for the fish. It just pops those small hooks right out.

I use them in the winter. They are helpful although I am left handed and it feels awkward, like using right handed scissors.
