Greer Access Campground Closing ?

I saw on a Forest Service website that Greer Landing Campground was expected to close in mid-to-late summer for maintenance. Anyone have any updates on if/when this is scheduled ? I had hoped to camp on July 26.

It says July? but they didnt give a date. Brian or Tito may have more info.

The Campground at McCormack Lake would be a good fall back or you could always camp on the river. Cheers.

Maint. in July??? Did it get whacked by a flood or something? I have not been down there yet this summer.

Dunno..I'll be headed back that way on the 11th...will check it out.

They are redoing the water and adding a couple of RV hook-ups, which is well and good. I have suggested they wait until at least Sept to do it, but they will do it when the contractors get to it. No firm dates as of yet that I have heard.
