I for one hope they NEVER get rid of the slab. As spiderman said,we did not see any largemouth, carp, or goggleye for that matter above the slab. To be honest, we could have taken the canoe directly over the slab, after we carried it across we noticed that it was not as rough as some of the rapids upstream were. Give me a shout if you have any questions about anything.

If it were me and I was doing a all day float I would go snow to the slab.

No worries about getting rid of the slab. There are PLENTY of all of the species you mentioned above and below the slab. One disturbing thing I've noticed a lot more of this year are longnose gar, both above and below the slab. I'd like to see the creek as natural as possible and that would be without the slab.

Looks like you had a fun day. Wish I was out there right now. Been fishing CC a lot for over 20 years now and can say that I've never seen the fishing any better than it's been the last couple of years.
