TroutRinger Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Zero break-offs That made me laugh. "Of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy." "There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore like an idiot."
Trout Commander Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 17 smallies total, four were over 15 inches..Zero break-offs really? None of those thumpers broke your line???? I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack

jdmidwest Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Must have been the UL action on the rod that protected your line. I floated from Eminence to 2 Rivers Sunday and from Alley to Eminence Tuesday. Both mornings started with a nice thunderstorm and I floated with a group of 8 canoes and 4 yaks that were all flailing the water. Fishing was slow. I did pester the pickerel in the back waters for a little topwater action. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
