Well I saw a tandem Old Town kayak at Bass Pro and decided on building one for fishing the streams. I measured the depth and the width and the cockpit and went from their.

More framing done I am going to cedar strip the deck and paint the hull when all is said and done. Need to go get some fiberglass resin. I weighed the plywood before assembly and it came to 20lbs the framing couldn't weigh more than 2-3 lbs.

Looks like that yak is coming along pretty nice.

One question.

What does it weigh?

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.

Woodman with the skills you have shown around here. I would be splitting some cane there are folks out there that pay serious cash for tiny bits of wiggling fiber. Beautiful work again.
