MOBass Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 If someone has a little technical skill I am sure that an alarm could be wired to the rod lockers. While car thieves are prepared for this it might catch a would be tackle thief by surprise. It would be nice if they could catch a few of the no good so and sos to find out how much skill they have. Are they career thieves or just tweakers looking for some quick cash.
crappiefisherman Posted June 25, 2006 Posted June 25, 2006 If they where professional theives i imagine they would take the whole boat. [ [

97procraft Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I was at a tournament 3 years ago, also in the aunts creek area, where 4 boats were taken. They cut them loose towed them out into the lake and striped them clean. All they left in one boat were his spinnerbaits. Maybe the MWP could find out who in Missouri is selling the most fishing equipment on Ebay and start with them.
Members John Posted July 8, 2006 Members Posted July 8, 2006 We got cleaned out a few yeas ago now I have a alarm on my dock with a motion sensor aimed high enough that it don't go off unless someone gets in my boat on the lift, plus I take out my stuff. Night vision and a 44 mag would be mt first choice by they won't let us! Good thread!
Members Josh Posted July 13, 2006 Members Posted July 13, 2006 Our family has a lake house in shell knob where our dock (on needle’s eye point) just recently got hit by the thieves they hit our new three week old boat where all they got away with was the factory cd player and some family’s new boat batteries (bastard’s) let me just say if I ever catch them I will give them three new holes and a rock ducked taped to there leg about 15 years ago our dock locker got broken into, that time we got some priceless rods and tackle that was my papas, just about made my dad cry (something I have never seen) again they better hope i dont find the jerks

Wayne SW/MO Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 John was that the State Team Tournament put on by BASS? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members John Posted July 25, 2006 Members Posted July 25, 2006 John was that the State Team Tournament put on by BASS? Yes it was a BASS Event ~~ Ray Scott was there and I have a few pictures of him interviewing some of us after the tournament. Sorry for the slow reply but we have been up on Lake Of The Woods for the past couple of weeks... And they also have theft problems up there.
Members Cpt_DJ Posted July 25, 2006 Members Posted July 25, 2006 John - I just seen this thread and am curious about the picture you have as a signature. I "think " I know 2 of them. Can you tell me if Charley Campbell and Gary Wilkerson are in that picture? Thanks, DJ
