motoman Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Yah, definitely worth contacting the company first. It will be interesting to see how they respond; some companies are great about those sort of things, while others............you know. - But re: repairing the bill on the bait. It depends on how/where it's damaged. The only baits I've successfully been able to repair are cranks where the bill has clean come out of the bait. Then it's just a matter of cleaning up where the bill was, and then using some clear 2-Ton epoxy (Devcon). Using the minimal amount possible is critical, as too much can be just a pinch to much weight to cause the bait to lose it's performance characteristics. - Now if the bill itself is split, or cracked off. That's gonna be a tough one.
Gone Fishing Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 CMAC keep us updated on the broken bill as I have a few with broken bills also. If I were guesing I would say they will tell you to kiss off even with the hefty price tag.

abkeenan Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Let me tell you first hand that Spro is AWESOME. I love the McStick and had a few that were faulty and one that i damaged on my own casting error and they not only replaced them but send me a few extras at no charge. Great customer service and a pretty fair price @ about 11-12 bucks depending where you buy. Havent thrown a megabass (and never will as long as they are $25 plus) and i cant imagine them outfishing the McStick. The McSticks are also coming out with more and more colors as their popularity gains. Cant wait to get my hands on the new McRip. Anyone try one yet? Would love to hear how they perform. -ABK
Quillback Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Have not bought a McRip yet but I will once the cold weather gets here, I like the fact that they are a deep running rip bait. They also have some new colors for the 110, Ghost Norman Flake looks like it could be killer!
steveearle Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I thought this conversation had happened previously on here...Doubt Megabass will repair or replace...All the ones I've seen have been turned into key chains...Might see if Megabass USA has spare bills and heat the old one out and see if you can get a new one seated properly...They are not the most fun people to deal with....
Stump bumper Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Off topic but if you like jerk baits try Jane's Net craft. You have to use your own hooks and split rings but for $3 apiece they are good quailty and action and I would say they are the same as LC pointers. They don't cast as far as the McStick but I have caught more fish using them and can buy 5 for the price of 1 LC pointer. http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/crankbait-bodies/341521.aspx
