Outside Bend Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 You're going to scare away the fish x2, although I personally think it would be awesome to have a guy sporting a blue-and-red mohawk cradling a big Current River brown on the front page of the Conservationist SWEET!! Reading this reminds me .. I use to date a girl with a pink mohawk.... and one of my top flies is called a "Mohawk Sculpin" At some point, I'm going to have to take a peek into your flybox <{{{><
Leonard Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 At some point, I'm going to have to take a peek into your flybox I may be weird and a little strange.... BUT I really dont think I want a guy peeking into my "FLY BOX" But here is the fly! http://ozarkanglers.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=472 http://www.taneycomonights.com
Kayser Posted September 6, 2010 Author Posted September 6, 2010 So glad I posted this- every single post has made this worth it. Outside Bend- It really didn't scare off the fish. Hit the Current Sat, and caught 58, except no big fish! The only big brown I had hooked came unpinned, and the others kept getting foul-hooked. Maybe they were eating my split shot... Oh well, there's still a couple more weeks to get that picture. Hell, maybe I'll get a nice one at Bennett today. Not a big Current brown, but still trout. Reading this reminds me .. I use to date a girl with a pink mohawk.... That's a little out there, even for me. But I bet she was fun for a while, though. Rob WARNING!! Comments to be interpreted at own risk. Time spent fishing is never wasted.

flytyer57 Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 Why not post a pic of this now famous hair job? There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
Norm M Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Back in the day, I had hair down to the middle of my back, a beard to the middle of my chest, orange plaid bell bottoms, paisley shirt, love beads with peace sign, fatigue coat with Woodstock emblem and sandals. Multicolored mohawk seems tame. what a long strange trip it's been , put a dip in your hip, a glide in your stride and come on to the mother ship , the learning never ends

Multicolored mohawk seems tame. Norm, by those standards, I would have to agree that this is pretty tame. But it does draw lots of odd looks and even more compliments from random strangers. So, now for the long awaited pictures. There is a before (from July) and an after (today at Bennett). Sorry for the poor quality, friend took it with a phone. And it is blue with red tips, I was just in the shade and the color doesn't show up that well... Rob WARNING!! Comments to be interpreted at own risk. Time spent fishing is never wasted.
Leonard Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 NICE!!!! I guess next is tatoos and nipple piercing Now all you have to do is watch your back cast... you have the tree... the brush... and now you hair to watch out for... http://www.taneycomonights.com

Norm M Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 What about the wind? I'm guessing more hair gunk than Jimmy Johnson. what a long strange trip it's been , put a dip in your hip, a glide in your stride and come on to the mother ship , the learning never ends
