Champ188 Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Guys, A few weeks back, several of you wished me well and offered your thoughts and prayers for my Aug. 25 surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from my left kidney. The surgery was a complete success and the doc was able to save 75-90 percent of the kidney. Just wanted to say thank you so much for your cares and concern. Great fishing to each and every one of you as the much-anticipated fall season approaches.
Gilly Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Good to hear! Perfect timing. Weather is getting bearable on the water. Life is for enjoying.... www.drydock516.com
Wayne SW/MO Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 That's good to hear, I know how fearsome the disease can be. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
exiledguide Posted August 30, 2010 Posted August 30, 2010 Great news. I had Colon cancer in May 1997 when I was 55, every day is a bonus. Wishing you the best.

Champ188 Posted September 2, 2010 Author Posted September 2, 2010 Doc pretty much released me to fish if I feel like it. Haven't reached the point yet to where I've felt strong enough, but might try a few hours tomorrow on one of our local lakes here in Bella Vista. Again guys, thanks so much for the thoughts, prayers and advice.
Trout Commander Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Glad to hear that Champ! I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
