Duck Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 Hit it again at 6:15, slow start but got fair. The two of us ended up with 43( can't get out of that range) Half on top, spook, spook junior, pup. ONE (1) one (1) did I say ONE keeper. The rest drop shot at 30-40 feet. Eagle Rock to just above Shell Knob. Most where twice the size of the spook. Is this a good sign of things to come? At 11 am the Navy hit the water and we went to the Pub for lunch. Duck.
Spinnaker Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 Do you think much of the Navy will be in Port after Labor Day?
Champ188 Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 The Navy pretty much cuts operations by half immediately after Labor Day, then continues to scale back as the weather cools.
Stump bumper Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Just wondering if you ever tried a spoon on those little top water spots? It is an old trick to throw a spoon and let it fall threw the school and sometimes you will find the bigger fish feeding below the school. I like the blue/silver kocadile spoon myself.
T-RockJaws Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 You might also want to try running a grub or even a spinner thru them. A lot of times, the bigger fish are a little lazy and wait for the dead shad to fall below the surface.
skeeter Posted September 9, 2010 Posted September 9, 2010 Do you think much of the Navy will be in Port after Labor Day? No surface vessels sighted today due to remnants of Hermine bringing needed precip. Can't tell about subs though. They must operate in stealth mode as the side finder has never picked one up.............
