troutfiend1985 Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Are the Chiefs serious this year? I really thought before the season started that the Chiefs would be 1-2 at this stage of the season, not that I’ve ever really been a diehard football fan. But I can’t believe that the Chiefs are actually looking semi-decent so far. Anyone think this is going to last? “The greatest menace to freedom is an inert people” J. Brandeis
Wayne SW/MO Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Well the defense has been improving for a while and the young talent is beginning to mature, not to mention rookies like Berry. The O line is looking better all the time and the running game is solid. Cassel needs to step up and play like a highly paid QB. Time will tell. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
ness Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Actually missed most of the game, but what I saw looked great. Cassel seems to have had a decent game. McCluster, Jones, Charles, Moeaki, Flowers, Hali -- All lookin good John
Buzz Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I've missed all of their games so far, except for half of last weeks game. I'm about half scared to watch a complete game, because I don't want to jinx them. They have a good team, but I'm still a little unsure about Cassel too. For a young team they look realy good. I'm glad KC finally decided to put some money and effort into having a good football team. Maybe someday they will be great football team. On a side note: I did get to see the end of the Indy/Denver game. I hate it when Denver loses. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Quillback Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I think they are sorta for real, they do have the benefit of playing in a weak division, they certainly have a shot at making the playoffs. SD lost to Seattle yesterday which is as surprising as when they were beat by the Chiefs.

Members riverrat09 Posted October 10, 2010 Members Posted October 10, 2010 3-0... They are for real, we'll have to see if they can survive Indy and then the Texans. after that the easy schedule should make for some smooth sailing.
Quillback Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 They looked ugly yesterday, but, if Dwayne Bowe could have just held onto that pass that banged off his hands when he was in the end zone...
