Trout Commander Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 S'why I keep the pinkys stuck in my daily tag!As for not specifically mentioning the spin fisherman? Who else would set up camp right smack dab in the middle of his drift/backcast? Seemed to be a pretty obvious one.. Touché my friend. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
Wayne SW/MO Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Some of you holier than thou fly fishermen seem to think that the lesser spin fishermen should get out of your way. There's not that much room at Bennett and you take more than your share, maybe you should give the spin fishermen a little credit for putting up with you! Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.

I am only mocking those that always complain about the "fly fishing elitists" that I have yet to meet in my ~5 months of fly fishing. What kind of fishing do you think I did before that???? I do enjoy fly fishing thousands of times more than any other fishing I have done, but I don't look down on the guys that don't. If anything I feel sorry for them that they are missing out on something so enjoyable. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. FlyFishinFool Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 As for not specifically mentioning the spin fisherman? Who else would set up camp right smack dab in the middle of his drift/backcast? Seemed to be a pretty obvious one.. FYI - The 2 individuals in question were also fly fishing. Lack of courtesy is readily available in fishermen with all types of equipment, e.g. - idiots use everything! * ´¯`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸ ><((((((º> `•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸¸.•´¯`•.¸ ><((((º> .¸¸.•´¯`•.¸ ><((((((º> I look in my fly box and think about what should guide my choice of the best fly: the amount/angle of sun on the water, the water temp & clarity, what bugs are hatching, what the fish might be eating, and what worked last time. Then I remember what an old man told me... " Ninety percent of what a trout eats is brown, fuzzy, about 1/2 inch long and underwater."
