Tried my luck on Pomme fishing for musky this past weekend. Only the second time i've fished the lake having fished it this past labor day for the first time catching one small musky 25 inches and my dad caught a 35 1/2 incher.

October 1st - we fished the last couple hours of daylight producing 2 follows, both small fish. In real shallow water.

October 2nd - Fished all day, I had one strike that i couldn't get hooked. My dad had a small fish on about 30 inches that we lost at the boat. He also had a small one follow. Another person in our boat had a strike from a musky that he wasn't able to hook up with either. The fish we saw on Saturday were all very shallow as well.

While the weekends fishing was slow, can't really complain about 3 strikes in one day (them muskie are tough to hook sometime). Overall had a good time.

I did manage to catch a Largemouth that measured just over 19 inches (poor thing was really skinny and sickly).

One suprise to our day included two nice catches of something i had never caught before. Both me and my cousin boated a boat anchor. I'd never seen that happen before, and better yet 2 in one day.

Heck, we've probably all hooked an anchor before, but only musky fishermen have the gear to land 'em! Nice report Riverrat, keep up the good work.

With the water going so low with the dam work...there will be lots of crazy discoveries I am sure. Last Wednesday I think I dragged in two hundred yards of mossy fishing line. This gives us all a chance to clean up the lake a bit. If we all pick up a few submerged items during this change of water depth the lake will benifit.

I snagged a spinnerbait on the back wheel of a small bike. I was really hoping I would be able to reclaim several hundred dollars of lures that I have lost over the last few years but no luck yet.

That one anchor looks a little short. Hope you let it go.

We kept the anchors. We also caught a sock. Dont worry guys, the sock was released immediately and unharmed. To be caught again.lol :D
