ozarksfishin Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 The Smallmouth have really picked up the last couple of weeks in the Dam area. Like some of the recent reports, most of the fish have been coming in the 10-12ft. of water range. Best baits right now are Eakins jigs and spinnerbaits. Starting to catch some on Wiggle Warts as well. Look for most of the fish on points near some of the major feeder creeks, they are really feeding up on shad and crawdads right now. Still a decent deep bite around the big docks and submerged trees that top out in 30-35ft. of water. Best baits are jigging spoons and drop shots, but with the big Smallies movin up, I have left the deep fish alone for a while! OAF Contributor Phillip Stone http://ozarksfishin.com

I'm seriously considering using you one day i'm coming down and I want to make sure my nephew catches some smallies.
ozarksfishin Posted October 8, 2010 Author Posted October 8, 2010 Thanks Smalliebigs, right now to the middle of November is a great chance to catch some quality Smallmouth on Table Rock. They are really starting to feed up as the water starts cooling down. Every fish we caught today was spitting up crawdads and shad. OAF Contributor Phillip Stone http://ozarksfishin.com
