Went to Michaels in Branson today after a little fishing on Lake Taneycomo to get some raffia to better camoflage the canoe for duck season and found a great fly tying deal. They have these little decorations that have stripped goose biots attached to a wire and topped with peacock hearl. 55 strips of brown goose biots for $5.oo. These will come in handy when tying up bead head nymphs for RR Catch and Release!

I always feel kinda queer shopping there, but I find some good materials from time to time. The fly foam selection, various feathers, copper, gold, and silver wire, paint, and other things make up for it.

I was hoping it was a report on a good early goose season.

It was a good early goose season for us. We had a few guests come down and ended up bagging 17 of them, 7 with bling. The raffia is great for grass cammo.

Wally sells some little $2 packages if you need some touch up. We have a Hobby Lobby here and the raffia hanks were about 5 foot long but are $6 a package.

I think it's just MAR-VEE that you shop at Hobby Lobby for your little fishy-fly thingy-wingies... I found these really super-duper feathers one time there, but just could NOT bring myself to remove any of the pretty pink plumes from the boa after I stood in front of the mirror and ran them across my shaved back and naked chest...

OH MY!!! Is it WARM in here or is it just me?

TOODLES!!!!
