Cape Fair

Driving home from a tough bite all week in the Dam area I was nearing Cape fair and thought why not. From noon to 2 PM I caught 11 fish with 3 being keepers all on the blade. Wind blow banks with lay downs and pole timeber was the ticket . It was a nice change catching fish where they were supposed to be. Kept throwing a buzzbait thinking they ought to hammer it, but instead the whites did catching a dozen or so in the 1 -2 pound range . Saw this little 4 pointer while fishing. I dont think he fell in the water and drowned. Pity .

Deer go to water when they're hurt or sick, I've been told. Deer that get hit on our road are found dead down by the water frequently.

Maybe car, maybe a bad shot by an archery hunter. I killed a 130class 8 point few years ago that was floating. Lost blood trail but kept looking. Found him the next morning in 12 foot of water. Surprisingly the meat still good.

Thats a shame the deer went to waste.

I was fishing Bull Shoals this weekend and today we saw 5 deer come running out of the woods and into the lake. I am sure some muzzle loader hunters were making some drives. I had forgotten how fast those things can swim.
