State Park And Old State Park?

Can yall help me figure out which State Park is the old one and driving directions from Springfield. I fish the Ruark Park area mostly but need to find this old state park, thanks in advance. TR

Old State Park is Hartley Branch. If you go hwy 215 from Hwy Y you will see it on your left past Cane Hill. There is also a road that goes to the right and that is State Park campground and marina. If you get to the mile long bridge you have missed it.

It is my understanding that the Old Stockton State Park Marina was located in what is called Hartley Cove. Unluckily that area use to freeze up a lot in winter and also had limited space so the marina moved to its current location about a mile east on what is called the Little Sac arm of the lake. To get to where the old marina use to be go north out of Springfield on hwy 160. Take a right on hwy 123 on the far side of Willard (about 8 miles after leaving Springfield). Follow hwy 123 north for 17.8 miles until you reach hwy 215. Take a left on hwy 215. Follow hwy 215 9,8 miles miles. At that time hwy 215 takes a hard turn to the right. Continue on 215 until you enter the State Park, about 6 miles. Just as you enter the park area you will see a Corp of Engineer's sign on the left side of the road pointing left to the "Hartley Launch", this is where the marina use to be. Good luck fishing.

Thanks for the help fellas, yalls directions were great got me right to the ramp. I have been there dozens of times just did not know that it was called old state park. thanks again for the help and all the great fishing advise and tips. Wind blew and made fishing almost impossible the sunday I fished but still beat working. thanks

Sure thing. It will be on March 26th at the Old State park (Hartley cove) ramp. Open Buddy bass tournament, so no memberships or anything. Entry is $100 per boat with an optional $10 big bass pot. Tournament will run from 7:00am to 3:00pm.

If you go to the second page of the forum I have a post on there "bass tournament" that has a flier attached to it if anyone needs to see that.
