Al Agnew Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Hey, I want in on this... To make it fair, we make it a two day tournament. First day, we all go on some river where Mitch and Smalliebigs can actually use their boat. Second day, we go somewhere so small that all they can do is put the boat in and fish the pool where they put it in, round and round in a circle while those of us in canoes and kayaks float down to the next access. We'll even let them use both accesses and whatever water they can reach from either. Greatest total inches wins, and I'll even say that the two of them can combine their catch while those of us in solo craft are on our own. They get to pick the river the first day, we get to pick it the second day. I'll bet one of the solo paddlers wins overall...oh wait, it also has to be in the middle of summer, hottest part of the year. If we hold it in the winter, they'll win easily.

Al, I know a few floats that have several outstanding winter holes that aren't accessible to jetboats. If you could hold your own the first day, you could beat them.
FishinCricket Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 I have no doubt about your fishing prowess. It is your allegiance to the brotherhood of MFU that I am concerned with. I have concerns that you may submit in order to be near self proclaimed greatness. Question all you want, greenhorn... We all know who's got seen-roar-ity... cricket.c21.com

flytyer57 Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Now what the *%#@ does any of this competition crap have to do with the coral reefs????? There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
ozark trout fisher Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Of course global warming exists, and of course we are one of the main causes. I tend to believe science over rhetoric. But there probably isn't any point in saying more. I wouldn't sway anyone's opinion, so no use wasting words.
Chief Grey Bear Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Hey, I want in on this... Get in line. It is now time put up or shut up. One day. One river. He chose the jet, I choose the water. He said he could catch more out of the jet than I could the canoe. If he is a man of his word, we'll see about that. To make it fair, I won't pick any water in my backyard. I will pick one east of the James. Dammit Al, I thought you were a jet boater, now you've gone and sworn you allegiance to the Dark Side. Actually, I think he has seen the light.
