gotmuddy Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Earlier this week I went fishing on the norfork river where they had just released a truckload of 6 inch trout. I got to thinking that a big swimbait would bring in big trout. I have never seen anyone fishing one so it may work. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
flytyer57 Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Probably wouldn't hurt to try them for them big browns. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
FishinCricket Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Nope, doesn't work... Don't try it... http://s781.photobucket.com/albums/yy91/FishinCricket/?action=view¤t=35343280.jpg&evt=user_media_share cricket.c21.com

We may go to Bass Pro tomorrow and get some stuff to try. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

Go to taneycomo, launch at Cooper Creek go upstream about 2 miles and drift the bluff bank with Luckcraft Jerkbaits and if they are generating, you will catch 15-20" browns all day long. It's a little different than a plastic swim bait though. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

FishinCricket Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 How do you fish those Lucky Crafts? Reel them straight back in? Twitch them? Real hard twitching/jerking.. The method varies depending upon the conditions... cricket.c21.com
Terry Beeson Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Speaking from a fly fishing standpoint, fishing big streamers works for big trout. I've seen people using big Rapalas catching big trout too...
