Members JimmyBaja Posted January 12, 2011 Members Posted January 12, 2011 Agreed, I wouldn't either. Our OPEC "pals" seem to be making sure that the economy will remain in the septic tank. We get a little bit of a rebound and "boom", they stick it to us on oil prices again. Skeeter... where is the Irag oil going? George W didn't get a return on his dollar.
Billfo Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 Yes, I will post the temp min & max of the crawlspace in a couple of weeks. I am planning on visiting the house NEXT weekend (weather permitting)... One would think that the "driveable" tourist destinations would pick up, but as long as there are abandoned homes & business falling apart- it would be hard pressed to get someone to invest in a new business... If the state/county would "clean up".... the area could come back strong. Vacationing on the Rock is cheap comparitively. Billfo for public office ??? Too many skeletons in my closet... LOL Bill, please post the lowest temperature when you get it. It would be interesting to see. As far as businesses for sale... this economy has not been nice to local small busineses. Drive Hwy 13 from the bridge to Branson West and look at all the empty commercial real estate. We need a boom in the economy! But, I am not holding my breath. Billfo Posted January 12, 2011 Author Posted January 12, 2011 Yeah, I should service the lower unit each fall. I changed the impeller last winter, looked ok then, but yeah I better not neglect it.. Maybe the new byPass will hopefully bring SOMETHING to the area. I didnt own the home last winter- so this winter is trial & error. I do have the main water shut off & the lower main pipe wrapped with heat tape. Email me Red-Right-Returning is for quitters !
Billfo Posted January 24, 2011 Author Posted January 24, 2011 We should have taken it when we had the chance ! But thats just me talkin Like the bumper sticker says.. "butt or Gas"... & Ive seen what they have to offer LOL Skeeter... where is the Irag oil going? George W didn't get a return on his dollar. Email me Red-Right-Returning is for quitters !
Sore Thumbs Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Sure thing, all you gotta' do is show up. Lake is getting so low now ( 908.6 ) that I'm concerned about getting the boat off the lift when this Arctic stuff leaves us alone. 5 Degrees this morning with 8 - 10 mph winds and -8 wind chill. Know what you mean about cabin fever. What is Normal Pool for Table Rock?
skeeter Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 What is Normal Pool for Table Rock? Used to be 915 msl, lately, two different Marina owners have told me it's 916 msl. NOAA has the area colored in on it's National Drought Map as "Abnormally Dry" which is the prelude stage to official Drought. We need rain. http://www.drought.gov/portal/server.pt/community/drought_indicators/us_drought_monitor

There is a lot of fear and they fought like crazy to get a turn lane put into the road plans at the Southern end so folks could access the old road without having to go all the way to the Northern end first, then have to turn back South. http://www.modot.mo.gov/springfield/major_projects/Stone/Route13BWtoKC.html
