dave potts Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 In Justin's defense, I ordered a reel from him sometime back and though it was on backorder, I did get it. I might add that there was a minor glitch in the order (I won't go into the details) but he made it right. And I was extremely pleased in the manner that he made it right. I might add that they appear to be darn nice reels for the money though I've not actually used them yet. It's hard to lawn cast when I can't find my lawn anymore! Dave

Dave I'm with you on the quality of the reel AND the lawn casting. The only criticism I have is the lack of communication, Justin might be over extended, but in today's society if you want to grow a business good, prompt communication is essential.
Members Bassfly Posted February 6, 2011 Members Posted February 6, 2011 That's exactly what I would do Justin, offer some piss poor customer service and then blame it on your customers. If your crap is on backorder and shipment will be delayed YOU need to make the contact.

Derogatory comments and constructive criticism are at two total opposite ends of the spectrum......I am hoping this was an attempt at the nicer of the two..... I have dealt with Justin, and will in the future. With any business venture there are lots of growing pains....and always someone who falls between the cracks. I would say don't pass judgment on a business based on a single order. I had an issue with my very first order, and all it took was a message on FB and a little research to get it fixed. Members Allen Fly Fishing Posted February 6, 2011 Members Posted February 6, 2011 Njardar, I'm sorry that things did not go smooth on your order. I did get surprised with orders during chirstmas and during the month of Jan I was needing to rebuild my stock. I'd admit most of my attetion was focused on my Nano Ti rod, new alpha drag system, and traveling. I did check my msg and noticed you did call and at that time I was unable to return your call. I do try my hardest to return every email and phone call that day. However, sometimes it is taking me more than 24hrs sometimes to get back with someone. I'm still trying to tweak my way of doing things to make things happen faster. I did start using a new software for orders/shipping starting Jan 5th and it has solved the whole Back Order issue. When an order is not shipped it contacts you and also lets you know if something is on Back Order. I feel that this needed to be done and I'm very happy that it is now in use. I'm the first to admit when its time to not do everything yourself. So last week I took on someone on the west coast to help me take some of the load off. I hope this will also lead things further in the right direction. I do feel bad when someone has an issue, because the last thing I want is someone not to be happy. I'd like to offer my apologizes and send you one of my Nano Ti rods in March when my 2nd run is ready. Justin
Njardar Posted February 6, 2011 Author Posted February 6, 2011 It turns out that I was not be patient enough, I did recieve an email from Justin and he was out of the country. Justin comes across as a solid individual and I for one will continue to do business with him and I encourage others to do so as well. - Charlie
FishinCricket Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 I purchased goods from someone on this forum in early December and at first there were legitimate delays in not providing the goods. Finally I got part of the order and was told the rest was on the way. Yesterday I got what I thought was the remainder of the order, but again it was only a partial order and there was no packing slip or anything indicating it was a partial order. A week ago I sent another PayPal payment for another item, but I have not received any acknowledgement of that order, or of my emails. I’m being purposefully ambiguous because I want to give this person the benefit of the doubt, but the total lack of communication from someone who has an online business is frustrating. I don’t want to needlessly accuse someone of poor business practices, but how patient is being to patient? I have the PM of the offer and his acceptance of the offer. To me if someone has a good reputation on this forum and is legitimate, there is an obligation to delivery the merchandise, or risk ruining their reputation. It turns out that I was not be patient enough, I did recieve an email from Justin and he was out of the country. Njardar Posted February 6, 2011 Author Posted February 6, 2011 ?????? :scratches_head: The ONLY issue I had was the lack of communication and even with that I tried to give Justin the benefit of the doubt, at least that was my intent. (Sometimes my brain and my language skills get out of sync.) Justin gave me a reasonable explaination that he was out of the country and I for one believe him. He seems like a nice guy, tries to do right by his customers, and I for one will continue to give him by business. Starting up a business in this economy is tough and there will be growing pains. I wish him nothing but the best and I hope he suceeds. - Charlie
