eric1978 Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I see 4 rainbows in one picture, and a brown at least 18" long in another. Two guys. Below Cedar Grove is a White Ribbon section, so I can't figure out what infractions y'all are talking about.

I think the confusion is in the fact that it is clearly the same guy that is pictured with a stringer of four rainbows who is holding a fifth that was kept-the big old brown. But like I said, I'm not thinking this was an infraction. But it would be easy to take it the wrong way.

Below Cedar Grove is a White Ribbon section, so I can't figure out what infractions y'all are talking about. Just throwing out there that I didn't accuse anyone of anything, just posed a question. I did go to Cabool schools, anyone from the area will vouch that I might need help counting . It almost looks like the beheaded fish may have came from a different stringer even. I would speculate the photographer/OP's. No way of knowing if you don't ask, and (again not accusing) if someone was over there limit having four bows and one brown they could have misread the regs to be a daily limit of four bows + one brown and by asking you might save them from future infractions. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
Kyle Posted March 11, 2011 Posted March 11, 2011 I pretty sure the law clearly states "separate creels" are necessary. That being said if they were using the same stringer, they may want to avoid it in the future. Kyle

But I still find it pretty hard to classify sharing stringers as poaching, although its probably not a good idea if you don't want to be accused of it. I know when I was a kid and I went fishing with my Dad, we would always share stringers, and if we both got a limit then I guess it would look like we were poaching even though we really weren't. But I don't think we ever thought about that. These days I usually don't keep fish, and I mostly fish alone, so I don't have to worry about it much. But still I think sharing stringers isn't really poaching even if its illegal.
