Today I took advantage of the warm weather and fished the 11 point. I launched at the narrows with my trusty jon boat and 9.9 and started my way upstream. I made it a few hundred yards before having to get out and drag the boat up a shoal. I had to drag up three shoals before I was able to get to my destination, morgan spring camp. It was worth the trouble, as I caught all of my fish in that stretch of river. 10 fish total, 3 largemouth, 4 brownies, and 3 pickerel(including my new PB 19"). It was a very peaceful trip.

I'm new to the Ozark fishing area...what is a pickerel? Is it a type of bass?

Nice lookin color,

Yep. Caught 8 of the 10 fish on it, then lost it

Worth the $25 though. The fish were coming up from 10-15ft and smashing it.

Was that in the "Pro Green" color?

I've been eyeballing these baits for a while.

Want to make sure I get the right bait for $30, you know.

I'm interested in how you fish these baits in creeks and rivers.

Is it a twitch/stop cadence, a slow roll, or pulling/dragging retrieve?

Also, how long do you let it sit there?

thanks

You can get them for $25 free shipping at tackle warehouse and other places. I try to twitch it randomly then pause(twitch 3 times, then 4, then 2, etc). Sometimes I pause 1-2 sec, sometimes more. It seemed that the longer I left it sitting the better it worked. Considering the water was in the mid 40s the fishing was good. I cant WAIT to hit the buffalo this weekend.

I bought that "pro-green" model on saturday.

I was impressed with the looksof it in the water.

Some baits lose thier appeal when they hit the water.

This bait, looks the part.

I didnt fish it very long, tho.
