They obviously have more work to do. Right now, the water is pouring through an 8 foot gap. That would be a heck of a boat ride if the water levels were any higher.

The whole west bank is being redone. They are planting trees and placing rock etc. along the west shore. You can still drive down to the creek and launch from the east side, but as Finley says, you then have to drive back around to park, or park at the lot at the top of the hill.

At the threat of being flogged, I have to say I don't think the "boats" will be missed.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

CC is pretty small and you'll RARELY (if ever) see a power boat on it. The one time I did, I was amazed. Especially when it had to have gone over the slab.

why would you think there are going to be less boats?

everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.

There doesn't seem to be as much silt behind the slab as I thought. The water seems pretty clear running through the old bridge on the picture. Looks like a fun wave to surf too.

I think the culverts under the slab helped keep the silt down and it would have washed through them.

I thought about that wave when I saw it. It would be a blast to go through there on the kayak. Probably have to stop and go back to the top of the slide when I get to the bottom a few times.

I GOT BLISTERS ON MY FINGERS!!
