Recently I posted some photos of customers holding fish and then released them. I was asked why I hadn't been putting reports or photos on the Ozark Anglers Forum in the last few months and this is the reason why. No matter what you try do someone will always tell you that what you are doing isn't what they approve of or not the way they would do it. As all of us are fishermen we should be trying to help and promote our sport not belittle or try to put someone down because they fish artificial, or flies or bait or whatever manner they prefer to legally pursue our beloved sport. I for one like to see pictures of all kinds of fish and enjoy the story behind how it was caught whether it was released or not.Maybe we all should look inside ourselves and try to get along better and realize there is room for all of us on the water, Thanks and GOD Bless Hotdawg!

Keep on posting those reports and show them pictures. I enjoy them too. And I don't care how you hold them and if someone don't like it, then they don't have to look.

You don't like Hustler magazine? Then don't buy it.

Don't like a certain tv show? Change the channel.

Does that need to be explained anymore?????????

There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.

That's the nature of forums, unfortunately. When a forum gets as big as this one, you've got all kinds of people who believe different ways and some aren't afraid to say so.

I have seen a move away from posting on forums, especially fishing guides who are on the water more days than most, who see fish patterns and who's knowledge is invaluable to the common angler. But they get bashed by a few who don't like guides, they make too much money, they lie about their reports, la di ada da... Then you don't see them (the guide) posting anymore (look at Table Rock). They post on facebook and get only a fraction of the exposure they would on this forum, at least from outside their realm of patrons and friends.

There's no easy answer here. Honestly, the way I see it is that guides who want to and continue to post here or any other public forum have to have thick skin and take what a few dish out while others who APPRECIATE what guides do here thank them over and over as well as drowning out the negative posters with positive comments

I am in the process of getting OA completely redone, and there will be a place where contributing guides will be able to post reports without comments from members. The forum itself will not change. This will be in addition to the forum.

Haters gonna hate...no matter what the venue. Fishing, Hunting, you name it. Take it as a compliment.

Remember...Some talk about it, Some wish they could, and Some can. You obviously fall into the latter.

Don't let the keyboard warriors get you down.

To all the guides who take the time to post... THANK YOU!

I suspect that for every poster who criticizes, there are many more who appreciate the information but who don't post. Remember, if it weren't for guides, there would be no one to put nightcrawlers on my wife's hook!

I feel you Hotdawg.

I was hesitant to post my recent video and had to scrutinize every frame in case something unacceptable might be there.

Some Warriors are just looking for something to rip on.

Post up the photos, it really is only fishing.

Exactly.

But on the other hand, I look at it like this...even a ripper can make you think, and can have valid points. The key is to not have a thin skin. Glean the nuggets you can and let the rest slide. Geez, it's an internet board. We are all experts in our own fingers...and sometimes that's where I think some of the stuff comes from, not our minds but our fingers, and the last time I read up on it fingers don't have brains.

Actually, maybe I like a little controversy, because I find arguments more interesting than praise. If somebody is REALLY wrong, he won't have many defenders, if any. Seems like you have plenty of defenders (myself included). But we all need to be brought up short once in a while and made to think a bit.
