The wife and I did a overnighter from rush down to buffalo city yesterday/today. The weather was nice and warm(for February) and the water was stained-ish. We both caught fish within the first 30 minutes then NOTHING the rest of the day. No bites, no nothing. I fished a little after dark then again at dawn and nothing. We took down camp and took off down the river and we caught two at the same time. Mine was 16", wife's was 13.5". After that nothing. A front came in with some rain so we spent the last 8-10 miles motoring down only to stop a few times to fish. The camping was awesome.

Thanks for the report. Not bad considering it's still February, and as any good bumper sticker will tell you, your worst day of fishing beats the best day of just about everything else!

Nice, Muddy we need to hook up, i need to fish the buffalo and CC a couple times before June.I hope you can help me???I'll bring boats, canoes, kayaks, trailer....whatever we need. p.s. your wife is hardcore to fish and camp with you on the river in winter....very envious.

can do. I am off sunday and monday every week. The buffalo is harder to fish unless you do a overnighter because once the river gets low you can't go up much more than a mile without doing lots of work.
