I've been stewing for a couple of hours now...so here is my soapbox. I found this forum a few months back. I was pretty excited because I'm a project manager on seven figure projects with a lot of stress. This is where I can get a way for couple of minutes a few times a day when I need a break. I thought this forum was supposed to be where one reports on fishing trips. Apparently, only if you fish bigger waters or on some special list. First, I was given a load for calling out a specific hole at BSC. Then, the load was for posting to many reports.

Well here you go...not one word about how much fun I had, how my kid is learning to love the outdoors, or how much money I spent in the great state of MO.

I served my country for over 20 years, through four wars and a year away from my family in Korea. I've earned my right to free speech discussing fishing trips on a fishing forum. So I can, now I just don't want to...'just saying.

Thanks for your service to our Country.

Mic, I wouldn't even listen to those guys. Some people get too protective of a stream. After all, Blue Springs is on the map, public and I'm sure that anyone who wants to know of the stream bad enough can find information on a few different forums. Some people want to just ruin your day(I want to ruin Outside Bend's day all the time but haven't been successful yet ;) ) Just shrug them off, I've read your reports and there is nothing wrong with them at all.

I think the winter must be getting to us, and the fact that times are changing. There is a lot of stress, both economically and socially, and people might be taking a little extra baggage out on others. All I know is this, I appreciate your service to our country, the posts you make and I hope that you don't let a few people ruin your fun. Just tell the people who have a problem with it to bug off, it's not like you're hurting the fish or giving them a "how to" on catching every single monster trout out of the stream.

Ahh...to hell with them Mic! I am just happy there is a guy on here that loves BSC as much as I do...fyi..I am much more free in the summertime. Its been tough getting out with the new baby and all. Anyways...where were you stationed in Korea? I was there at Camp Howze from 98'-99'. Hope to see you on the water soon...we can swap some stories.

Quite right! Plus..and you know this Mic...its not like those big ones jump on the hook out there. When I am trying to catch the big ones on BSC..I usally only get one pass before they are done with me and thats only if I did a good job sneeking in on them. When I finally get one of those BSC 20+ inchers to the hand...I am going to CROW from the rooftops on this forum. I can tell you a 15-20 incher from BSC is a true trophy fish of a lifetime.

You know, I wish I had that in me. I caught a 20 inch or so fish from crane a while ago and stayed quiet about it. I regret it a little now, and wish that I would have posted it and its pic up on the forum(just so that I could rub it in Chiefs face ;) ) Mic, don't quit posting bud, you haven't done anything wrong by any means, and there are always going to be a few needles in the seat cushion that just want to stick you in the butt for having too much fun.

Don't take it the wrong way mic. I'm not "a needle in the seat" and I don't want to "stick you in the butt." It's just that we've been over this and over this...the people that post here regular you don't have to worry about, but there are buttloads of "lurkers" who are scoping out new territory on a daily basis...you can count on it. And you talk about a creek long enough, they're gonna show up there and screw up your favorite place...you can count on that, too. Seriously. I'm just sayin', do yourself the favor of keeping it under your hat. Keep up the reports, but you don't have to say exactly where you've been. Y'knaw'ta'mean? I'm not riding your butt man, I just worry about the litte gems, especially the ones so close to St. Louis that any hoosier in the county can come down and beat the hell out of it as soon as he finds out how close it is.

That's all folks. It's not stupid to keep it a little quiet. I feel the same thing about Crane...there shouldn't be any reports about that place, either. Some creeks just shouldn't be mentioned.

Crane's been written up in national publications I believe. It's a pretty famous place, what with the McCloud rainbows there. And it runs through a town. Shouldn't be any reports? I don't think you're going to get your wish.

Thanks, Mic for posting reports. Post what you want to post and don't worry about the negative comments. There will always be more of those who appreciate it.

I say post the pic. Post the whole report, I would love to read it. The only parts I wouldn't mention is the exact or really even general locations. Like Phil said, Crane is no secret. But all I would say is I was fishing at Crane and leave it at that. I personally think when it comes to Crane, the locals, those in a 30 minute radius that gets worse as you get closer, are the hardest on the stream. And there isn't any stopping them. But also like eric said, there are some lurkers out there, so beware.
