Found out real quick that I had got right into those 60* and 70* days.

That east wind was rough early in the day.

Fishing was tough for us. Did catch some fish, had a couple of walleye that end to end would probably have not measured. A short and a 12" crappie. several short black bass and good white and 2 really nice small mouth when we first got there. Water temp was 47* when we got there and 49* when we left.

Was good to get out after being cooped up for so long.

Thanks for the trip report.

I'm glad you got a chance to get out and ya'll caught a few fish.

Kinda an unusual mix of fish, what lures/baits were ya'll using?

I almost went down that way myself but I have been twice and haven't found as much as I will drive that far to catch. So I opted for Table Rock myself. And from your report I'm glad I haved the 80 miles.

We threw about everything in the boat. Seemed like we'd catch maybe 1 or 2 on a color of tube or grub or swimming minnow then have to go to something else. Don't think we had a bite on a minnow.

Know I had a pile of used colors on the bait well when we got back to the ramp.

They didn't like anything bright or so it seemed, more of a neutral color.

Think my partner was using some awful looking thing (tube) that had 2 or 3 different shades of green. Believe he caught the crappie and white on it.

Dutch with the price of diesel getting way out of hand it's hard for me to make those south trips too. I can make almost 2 trips to Stockton from here for one trip down south. With this high sided Lund I've got now I don't like fighting the wind but may have to go back to Stockton from now on. Probably won't be any trips up to Warsaw either.

I caught those 2 killer walleye on a firetiger colored grub

Well I wouldn't have recognized you in a Lund. I'd have been looking for that copper colored glitter sled you used to have. What color is the Lund?

It's green and tan, dual console. Nice boat but hard to get in and out of.

Sounds like you already own my next boat. There is no better aluminum on the market than a Lund.

Well I got to the point I needed something more stable and with sides on it. Like to have stumbled off the side of that bass boat a couple of times.

Went with the 18' to get around the stickups at Stockton a little easier and kinda thinking now that the 19' might have been better for me.

Sure fishes different than the bass boat and took some getting use to but a super boat regardless. You sure won't be disappointed
