Actually I've been wondering what 10,000 fisherman, all casting into the parking lots, would look like...? lol

I've never fished it that high...Is there basically no hope for a good day?

Is the high water feed in from the stream behind spring, or is the spring pumping all that out?

3 ft is about max for most fishing. I may go someplace else if it is still that high Tuesday. The ground is pretty much saturated and it just won't take any more water. If it rains more it will stay high. I just hope that they didn't stock it with all the fish yet because it may get higher and wash it out again. Usually trout can find calm water but fish right out of the hatchery don't know about that yet. The fish that have been in the stream and know how to deal with high water can make it with no problems. Warm water is a whole different story.

Actually I'm hoping for just the opposite...that could make the Niangua fish great this year if they're all washed down into the river from the spring branch instead of thrown into the skillet.

It does not matter if they are caught in the river or stream. People will keep them and they will end up in a fish fryer or pan . It's what they were intended for anyway. I hardly ever keep any but if that's what people want to do then more power to them.

Yeah I don't care if they keep them either, but my point was if they wash into the river, they'll be harvested at a much slower rate than if they were up in the park for the barrell shooting...plus it's always more fun catching fish from the river than catching fish from the park.

Just sayin'.

The only part out of my butt is that even if they were stocked before the flood, they're not gonna get washed into the river anyway...the rest is true and came out of other parts of me.

Just sayin'.

Ya jack-sandwich.
