I will be sure to respect all of the private property for sure.

What is everyones thoughts on going this weekend??

Also, DD, do you have any luck stripping line as normal as if fishing for whites, or do you do the exaggerated snagger's hook set?

I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted.

You might get into some this weekend. I personally think the water temps are not quite right for the big push yet. They should be still staging right now. I just strip like fishing for whites. If I feel some tension on the line, I will do a hard strip set. I do not yank the rod to get the hook set because that will break the fly rod.

Sounds good, thanks for the advice, unless I see reports that speak differently this week or they are running a bunch of water at the dam on Saturday I will hold off.

Today I twisted up a couple really long tapered leaders out of 20lb mono, using the method shown in a video in another thread. I don't have a sink tip line or money in the budget for one at the moment, so hopefully these will suffice.

Does anyone who targets whites on the fly use fluorocarbon?
