Members Dapper Dan Man Posted March 16, 2011 Members Posted March 16, 2011 I know this may not be a big deal for some but this was for me. Yesterday afternoon I caught my first walleye! Being the newbie that i am to fishing its really nice to finally get some return off all of the lures and bait i've lost and/or fed to the local fish this and last year lol Eagles may soar, but weasles don't get sucked into jet engines - Unknown

Members Fishinokie1 Posted March 16, 2011 Members Posted March 16, 2011 Congrats!! That is awesome. One you catch one, you will be hooked for life. Nothing like fresh walleye in the pan. mmmmmm If you teach your kids to fish, your wife will let you go more often.....
rangerman Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Awesome!!!thats a nice first eye......I only foresee one problem. You can't just post the picture of a nice walleye like that and not give any specifics. That just makes people bit their finger nails and wonder.
Members Dapper Dan Man Posted March 16, 2011 Author Members Posted March 16, 2011 Yes, i'm officially hooked for life (no pun intended)lol caught it on a purple swimming minnow down near shadow rock park. was just over "18 so not as big as some of the monsters i've seen on this site but gotta start somewhere. That is the perfect size to [Release to da grease] with fried potatoes beans cole slaw. Of course I have never seen a Walleye that wasn't the perfect size as long as the're legal. Walleye are the reason there are worms, leaches and minnows and Shad Raps and plastic grubs....
duckydoty Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Good looking fish! Keep posting reports on how you do over there. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Walleyedmike Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Nice 'eye Dan! Don't even bother seeking treatment for your new addiction...There's no cure and you'd just be wasting money that would be better spent buying crankbaits, trolling gear and other walleye tackle. You also need to take care not to cover up your sponsors phone number in the background of your pics Keep the reports coming! WM
Members Zac Seale Posted March 16, 2011 Members Posted March 16, 2011 It truly is an addition. All those long hours in the freezing cold dark along the river...good times! I really need to get down there just haven't had the time. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but once you catch them you're ready for another 8 hours of fishing! Keep it up!
Members Dapper Dan Man Posted March 16, 2011 Author Members Posted March 16, 2011 You also need to take care not to cover up your sponsors phone number in the background of your pics ya know, its funny you say that. That's my personal truck, I got that door from a salvage yard over 10 years ago. Its my fishing truck so i don't care what it looks like so I never got around to taking off the lettering. That's how my friends and family recognize me driving down the road. So I had to take the pic in front of the door because I had some friends with doubts maybe I need to talk to those guys about reimbursement for 10 yrs of advertising haha Eagles may soar, but weasles don't get sucked into jet engines - Unknown
