I was heading to Stockton on saturday to take my Dad out fishing and was wondering about the water colors in the greeser and sons creek area. IE colred clear stained muddy just what am I geting into up there with the rain we had this week?? We are bass fishing, and I was figuring on a point bite with wart jerkbaits or jigs n grubs being the best ideas this time of year. thanks for the help in advanced tr

The USGS has gauge stations on Turnback and Sac but not on Son's Creek. They are reporting that both Turnback and Sac are still 2 to 2 1/2' above baseline. It is only a guess but I would think that Son's Creek would still be up some as well. I don't know if this helps but I thought I would throw it out there. Good luck on your trip.

Hey TRRANGER, I am going to try and go to the CC area tomorrow. If I have time afterward I will try to check out the 39 bridge over Son's Creek before I come home. I will post my report when I get home.

I was in Googer Creek today and the water had more color. Probably 1 1/2 to 2 foot clarity so that is dingier than normal for that area. Lots off trash and sticks floating all over the lake. Water temp was 47 degrees. Fishing was tough for me. I caught 10 bass but really had to work for them. Bites were few and far between. Caught everything on a stickbait.

Hey TRRanger, stoped by the 39 bridge over Son's Creek today. Looks good. A little stained but not milky or muddy. Water temp was 51. Hopefully you will do well on Saturday. Good Luck.

I ran up there on saturday, the water was clean, at least two and half feet visability. Only got about a half mile past Greaser. The water temp was 49 degrees.
