Jason Essary Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Wondering if anyone had been out under the stars chasing bass yet? Went last night. First time is always full of kinks getting worked out so wasnt expecting much. Wind died at dark, had three good bites, made one to the boat. 2 1/2lb greenback. came out of 10' of water. Going back tonight. Will report. Essary Construction - Honest work for honest price Custom Construction and Remodeling Call for free quotes (417)338-6418 http://essarycustomhomes.com/
Champ188 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 I remember when I could fish half the night or more and work the next day. Not no mo.
johnboy2bfishin Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Haven't been yet, but have spooled up a couple of rods with some night line and figured on throwin a blade and salt craw friday night if it don't get to cold
Jason Essary Posted March 23, 2011 Author Posted March 23, 2011 Tues Night report - Windy. Fished till 11. Wind howled the whole time. Tried traditional tactics but hard to fish where I wanted without a 40' bow in the line. Tried a blade up shallow on the windy traditions, nothing, tried a blade slow rolled, nothin. Did have two bites on crawdad patterns, but with the wind one dropped it before I hit him and the last came unbuttoned. Will wait till the next night in the 50's or 60's and be going again. Champ, it will for sure take it out of ya. Essary Construction - Honest work for honest price Custom Construction and Remodeling Call for free quotes (417)338-6418 http://essarycustomhomes.com/

Jason Essary Posted March 23, 2011 Author Posted March 23, 2011 surface temp stayed pretty stable, course it was a warm night even with the wind. 52 when I started. Think I saw 51 when I left but it depended on where you were at.
