Buzz Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 No. I already thought of that. It is made of craft foam superglued over the hook. It will be attached just like a hopper/dropper with the dropper tied to the bend of the indicator hook. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
Gavin Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Double sided foam tape makes a great indicator in a pinch....Make one as big or as small as you need anytime you want.
Kayser Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Orange poly-yarn is my favorite for these indicators. Almost thinking I would like to try white so it would blend with foam better. Can't remember what size o-ring I use, though. Well, I guess it's time for a trip to Lowe's. Rob WARNING!! Comments to be interpreted at own risk. Time spent fishing is never wasted.
Members jasperflyfisher Posted March 25, 2011 Members Posted March 25, 2011 I use a large foam beetle made out of foam from hobby lobby. Orange, brown and black with a contrasting color tied in the top. Works well on streams, not so much at Taneycomo.
mic Posted April 4, 2011 Author Posted April 4, 2011 Tried out the indicators this weekend and they all worked fine. The one made from the micro-flash works great with a little floatant and doesn't stick out. It will work great for skittish fish.
