Whack'emGood Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 For you guys talking about the nighttime bite my brother brought a fatty to the boat last night. Only bite we got after dark and wouldn't you know it the scales I had were dead. 22 inches long 18 inch girth, i figured somewhere between 7 or 7.5. Caught her off a steep bluffend dragging a jig very slow. Took her by a dock with a light to get a picture then let her go about her business. Definately would have made someone very happy this weekend. What a pig! Looks like it might be even bigger than you estimated, in my opinion. Way to go! If I can't catch them on the conventional tackle that I already use, then I guess I just can't catch them." -LK (WHACK'EM)
Whack'emGood Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I always release my bass...its the crappie that have to watch out! Seriously though, Table Rock has lots of big fish in it, but the only way they get bigger is by releasing them. Replicas are the way to go if you are going to get a mount done anyway. In my opinion, Table Rock is really coming on strong in the last 3 years. Big fish produce big fish!! Can't wait for the night time bite to really start going too. Well stated... on all accounts. dtrs5kprs Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 I think we are going to have to get the Corps to put up warnings for swimmers. What a bunch of sea monsters we have to chase right now.
getfished Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I'm speechless. Jealous. You guys are blessed to have such a fish factory in such clean water. Very nice. http://www.tacklespecialty.com/

The outdoors is the ticket to well-rounded, great young men and women!!
